Fundraising

There are many opportunities to raise funds for the music program. Some programs are ongoing and some are short term. Funds can be raised for the general fund and for students accounts.

ONGOING

Here is a great fundraising opportunity that is easy to use and costs you nothing! Schoolpop.com is very similar to Escrip, but is for all of your on-line purchases. Registration is very simple and only takes a few minutes to complete. Once you are registered, all you have to do is go to the site and then to the merchant’s site and then they kick money back to program. The program has almost 500 retailers that pay back anywhere from 1-20% to us. This is a very easy and pain free way to support the music program and the merchants are the usual stores that most of us already use when we shop on line. Plus, friends and family who live across the US can also register and support the band. Be sure to designate Dublin High School Music Boosters as the beneficiary. Just go to School Pop to get started!

OneCause

This is part of the Schoolpop.com program, but specifically tied to online shopping. Just set up an account at www.onecause.com and designate DHS Irish Guard as the organization to benefit from your contributions. General shopping will grant us 2–5% on purchases. They also run specials from time to time that can be as high as 20% in returns. The best way to take advantage of these is to sign up for alerts when setting up your account. These can be modified at any time. Selecting the type of products or specific stores you prefer will allow OneCause to advise you when these specials are taking place.

S.H.A.R.E.S.

We have received the cards for the S.H.A.R.E.S. program through Save Mart / Lucky Stores. This is an easy fundraiser to participate in because it requires no extra time to be effective. When shopping at Save Mart, Lucky, or Save Max, just swipe your card and earn points for our organization. One point is equal to $1 on qualified purchases. Each quarter these points are added up and Boosters receives a check for 3% of the total. This fundraiser is not limited to Booster members alone. If you have family or friends who already shop at these stores, ask them if they wouldn't mind using the card to benefit our music program.

2010 – 2011

Fireworks

We are joining forces with Athletics and PFSO, and will share in the work force and proceeds earned with these organizations. We will be selling fireworks in booths in front of Safeway (Dublin Blvd and Amador Plaza Road) and Rigatonis.

Shoreline Concerts and 49er Games

These are currently being put together for this summer (Shoreline) and fall (49ers). Contact Jay DeCarie if you are interested in the training for running the booth for either of these events. The more people we have to help, the more options we'll have in choices of venues and booth size. Keep checking this site for further updates.

E–Waste Recycling

We will be putting on this drive sometime this summer. Date to be determined.
