Color Guard / Visual Performance Ensemble
The Color Guard / Visual Performance Ensemble brings a visual interpretation of the band’s music. This ensemble accompanies the band at the various events. This ensemble uses equipment to bring the music alive, equipment such as: flags, rifles, sabers, and I.D. letters.
Information 2010 – 2011
Color Guard is getting ready for another exciting season! Mark your calendars for Monday, August 9th at 8:00am for the start of Band Camp at DHS. (Please see the Home Page for additional information about Band Camp.) Remember to bring plenty of water, a nutritious lunch and snacks, and wear sunscreen! Tennis shoes and socks are required throughout the day. If you are planning to be a part of Color Guard, but are unable to be at Band Camp on August 9, please contact Mrs. Everts.
Parents, please mark your calendars for Friday, August 13 at 4pm to discuss field show and Winter Guard uniform choices. The meeting will be held just prior to the Band Camp BBQ. Your opinion is VERY important.
Finally, remember that the Band Fee/Donation applies to Color Guard as well and can be paid when you register your student for the 2010-2011 school year. A separate check from your registration fees is required. If you are having difficulties paying fees, please contact Mrs. Everts.
