Jazz Band
The Dublin High School Jazz Band is comprised of students interested in jazz music and who are a part of the marching/concert band (see Mr. Everts for more details). Students in this ensemble will need to have some exposure to improvisation. Students will never be ‘forced’ to solo; yet, they will be encouraged to solo. After all … improvisation is a major part of jazz music. The Jazz Band performs at various functions throughout the year. The Jazz Band will have a minimum of three different concerts during a school year. The Jazz Band may also attend jazz band festivals.
