Marching Band

The Dublin Irish Guard is comprised of students in the Concert and Symphonic Bands. Beginning Fall 2009, Jazz Band students will need to be a part of the marching/concert band. Jazz Band students; please see Mr. Everts for more details. The marching band provides music at the football games, school events and local community events. It competes in multiple band reviews every year, earning many trophies.


Information 2012 – 2013

STUDENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR BRINGING THEIR ASSIGNED COORDINATE SHEETS TO ALL MARCHING BAND/GUARD REHEARSALS. COORDINATE SHEETS ARE THE SPOTS THE STUDENTS STAND ON – ON THE FIELD. STUDENTS DO KNOW WHAT THEIR NUMBER IS. THE COORDINATE SHEET IS TO BE PLACED IN THEIR PLASTIC NAME BADGE THAT IS ATTACHED TO THEIR "IRISH GUARD" LANYARD!




Students need to purchase a "LYRE" and "FLIP FOLDER/PORTFOLIO" to hold their pep band music. FLIP FOLDER INFORMATION MARCHING INSTRUMENT LYRE INFORMATION. Available at local music stores (see the LINKS PAGE).

This is the piece the DRUM MAJOR candidates will be using to conduct. Auditions will be during the May 13, 2013... rehearsal.... ALL CURRENT BAND STUDENTS ARE ABLE TO AUDITION. Monday during lunch Mr. Everts will offer CONDUCTING lessons. Thanks for auditions.
